Shameless Tuesdays: Livre 53 | Julian Shah-Tayler

The devil may know his name, but Julian Shah-Tayler's got a way around that! Under the guise of The Singularity, Shah-Tayler transcends with a blend of synthwave, post-rock, and gothic alternative to create a whirlwind of empowering sounds. His latest single "Devil Knows" (available this Friday) is a song worthy of any underground dance hall, where the things that go bump in the night make one-night stand plans with no regrets. To prep his followers and the recently hypnotized, Julian Shah-Tayler has arrived to sink his fangs into this week's Shameless Tuesdays!

Here's what Julian has to say about this week's playlist:

I prepared this playlist to illustrate a lot of my favourite artists and some of the people I have worked with in the past. Some of them are covers which have put a differing spin on the originals. A lot of the "dark" music scene invests its attention in common and tested "goth" tropes. The music always comes out sounding totally perfunctory and without originality. But they wear black and talk about crosses or death, so it's OK! I've always sought the art before the pose. Here's a list made by "real" artists with genius AND integrity.
