Anime Boston 2020 Cancelled, Announces 2021 Dates

Anime Boston, the largest anime convention in New England, has unfortunately announced that it will be cancelling its 2020 convention at the Hynes Convention Center, Boston, Mass, on April 10 through 12, 2020.

On March 13, 2020 Massachusetts Governor Charlie Baker announced a ban on all gatherings of 250 or more people in an effort to stem the spread of the COVID-19 virus. The ban is set with no current end date, until the governor announces otherwise. Given the uncertainty of the restrictions, Anime Boston has been cancelled for the 2020 calendar year.

“We hope you and your loved ones stay safe and healthy,” said Kristen Leiding, Convention Chair. “We certainly hope to see you at the next Anime Boston, April 2–4, 2021.”

For more information on the cancellation and on the 2021 event, visit Anime Boston's official site.
