Viz Media has announced the release of two new books that expand on two of anime's biggest franchises: Fullmetal Alchemist and Dragon Ball!
On November 13th, Hiromu Arakawa's complete color artworks of Edward Elric and the rest of the alchemist crew will be unleashed via The Complete Art of 'Fullmetal Alchemist'! This massive hardcover collection contains over 280 pages of gorgeous full-color illustrations, including all the original chapter title pages, the graphic novel covers for the single-volume and collected editions, portraits of the main characters, and promotional artwork. Also included is an exclusive interview and a special step-by-step illustration creation discussion with Arakawa herself.
“The influence of FULLMETAL ALCHEMIST continues to reverberate across the world of manga and beyond,” says Hope Donovan, VIZ Media’s Managing Editor. “This extraordinary new art book is the ultimate collection for all fans of the series and is a fitting tribute to this essential property and its celebrated creator.”
A week beforehand on November 6th, an interesting twist on the world of Goku and Vegeta will arrive in the form of Dragon Ball: That Time I Got Reincarnated As Yamcha! Any Dragon Ball fan’s greatest dream is getting to live in the Dragon Ball universe and fight alongside Goku and his friends! But one particular fan is in for a rude awakening when he suddenly dies and gets reincarnated as everyone’s favorite punching bag, Yamcha!
