Bastard Holiday Dessert Delights!

Had a hard time following along with the Bastard recipes on yesterday's Podcast? No problem! Here they all are in written form!

King Baby Duck's Recipe: Peanut Blossoms

Ingredients:

1 3/4 cups all-purpose flour
1 teaspoon baking soda
1/2 teaspoon salt
1/2 cup granulated sugar
1/2 cup firmly packed light brown sugar
1/2 cup of shortening
1/2 cup of creamy peanut butter
1 egg
2 tablespoons milk
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
48 Hershey kisses

Preheat oven to 375°F

Directions:

  1. Stir all-purpose flour, baking soda and salt in large mixer bowl
  2. Add the rest of the ingredients except the kisses
  3. Mix ingredients on the medium setting of your electric mixer until well combined
  4. Place the dough into the refrigerator for 30 minutes
  5. Take out of fridge, then roll small amounts of dough into one-inch balls
  6. Place on un-greased cookie sheet, and bake for 12 minutes, or until they’re lightly brown
  7. Remove from oven, and immediately place a chocolate kiss in each of the cookies
  8. Repeat with remaining dough.

Makes 48 cookies!

Anvil's Recipe: Poor Man's Cheesecake

Ingredients:

2 sticks soften cream cheese
1 1/2 tub Cool Whip whipped cream
1 graham cracker crust
(Editor's note: Add any fruit/fillings if desired)

Directions:

  1. Mix cream cheese and Cool Whip until smooth
  2. Pour mixture into graham cracker crust
  3. Place in fridge, wait until chilled to serve

Saignement's Recipe: Pumpkin Cookie Dip

Ingredients:

1 can pumpkin pie filling
1 tub Cool Whip whipped cream
1 box French Vanilla pudding mix
1 tsp. cinnamon
1/4 cup brown sugar
1/2 tsp. ginger
Dash of nutmeg
Dash of cloves

Directions:

  1. Mix all the ingredients except Cool Whip together
  2. Fold mixture into Cool Whip
  3. Refrigerate for two hours or until cold
Best served with Ginger Snaps or Vanilla Wafers!
