Shameless Tuesdays: Livre 125 | Tantrum Zentrum
For a UK band, Tantrum Zentrum certainly have a German vibe to them. The post-punk outfit go all in with dark gothic tones that feel akin to the classic musical Cabaret. But when you've focused your narratives on hurdy-gurdy men ("Der Leiermann") and, well, I think the title "Don't Be a Fascist" speaks for itself, it's easy to get those sorts of imagery in your head. But even when it's filled with cold vibes, Tantrum Zentrum still find a way to deliver a warm groove within the dark lyrics. While the hurdy-gurdy man cranks away, Tantrum Zentrum light a frostbite-defeating fire in this week's Shameless Tuesdays!

After moving to the UK from Toronto, we immersed ourselves in London's vibrant underground music scene. These are some of the best bands that we have been fortunate to share the stage with, many of whom became good friends and collaborators. All of them work very hard to promote the scene by putting on DIY shows, helping with promotion and by sharing skills and ideas. With music ranging from electro and industrial, to Goth and dark folk, we believe that all of them deserve much wider recognition than what they're getting now.
