Anime Boston 2023 Announces Next Three North American Guests

A Fire Nation royal, a Phantom Thief, and a Beast Titan are heading on over to Anime Boston this year, as the annual con welcomes Dante Basco, Erika Harlacher, and Jason Liebrecht to their roster!

Dante Basco is an accomplished, long-standing actor in both voice and film. He was first introduced as Rufio in Steven Spielberg’s Hook. His voice can be heard as the iconic characters Jake Long in American Dragon: Jake Long, Prince Zuko in Avatar: The Last Airbender, Iroh II from The Legend of Korra, and Jai Kell from Star Wars Rebels. From breakdancing in the streets of San Francisco to starring in movies on the silver screen, Dante Basco has become one of the most recognizable faces in Hollywood and is truly an Asian-American icon.

Erika Harlacher is a Los Angeles–based voice actor in video games, anime, and animation. She is best known for her roles as Ann Takamaki in Persona 5, Venti in Genshin Impact, Kurapika in Hunter x Hunter, Shinobu in Demon Slayer, Violet Evergarden in Violet Evergarden, and many more. She can be found on Twitch and YouTube.

Jason Liebrecht is a prolific voice actor and performing artist based in Austin, Texas, for well over a decade. His voice can be heard in signature roles, such as Qrow from RWBY, Champa in Dragon Ball Super, Dabi in My Hero Academia, Beast Titan/Zeke in Attack on Titan, and more. In gaming, he has played the roles of Champa and Tapion in the Dragon Ball Z game franchise, Lo Wang in the Shadow Warrior games, Mordecai in the Borderlands series, and many others. Outside of voice acting, Jason has extensively collaborated with the Austin-based experimental theater company, the Rude Mechs. (Check out our interview with Jason Liebrecht from Anime NYC 2021!)

Basco, Harlacher, and Liebrecht join the previously-announced voice actors Brandon McInnis, Emi Lo, Sarah Natochenny, and J. Michael Tatum. Anime Boston 2023 will be happening at the Hynes Convention Center, Boston, Mass, on April 7 through 9. For more information, visit the official website!
