Shameless Tuesdays: Livre 93 | Circuit3

In the deepest parts of outer space, a message beams out from the stars. Who is it calling out to, and what is its purpose? Turns out, it just so happens to originate from Dublin via electronica artist Circuit3. Landing in our stratosphere on July 15 will be their latest record Technology For The Youth, as mastermind Peter Fitzpatrick brings the next generation of electronic pop to this day & age. Thus far, two singles have acted as a taste of what's to come: the club-infused and neon-shaded "Future Radio" and the sci-fi cyberpunk-inspired "Š›ŃƒŠ½Š°" (no, don't ask me how you pronounce that one!). Before the eagle lands in two months time, Circuit3 is broadcasting to us a special Shameless Tuesdays!

Here's what Circuit3 has to say about this week's playlist, which comes to us from the future five minutes from now:

Reviews of my latest album "Technology For The Youth" describe my music as retro-futuristic. Analogue synths supporting classic synthpop structures of Future Radio sitting naturally alongside more space-ambient tracks such as Kosmos 954. Thatā€™s the inspiration for this playlist: Retro-Futuristic: that feeling you get listening to a track recorded years even decades ago yet it is calling to you from the near future. We lead with the synth erotism of The Normal which functioned as the pseudonym of Mute Recordā€™s founder and ever present taste maker Daniel Miller. Sheffieldā€™s Cabaret Voltaire and The Human League remind us that a dystopian future is danceable. Special mention for new artist Osccr producin interesting new music which sounds like itā€™s leaking through the walls from the party going on next year. I hope you lose yourself in diversions if youā€™re discovering these artists for the first time. I close the playlist with a reminder from Future Radio ā€˜thereā€™s music in the atmosphereā€™. Even if outer space thereā€™s music: go breathe it in.
