Shameless Tuesdays: Livre 130 | The Caughtery
Great talent and power is needed to recreate a classic song in one's own image. The Austin-based duo The Caughtery have done just that with their rendition of the iconic Led Zeppelin track "The Rain Song". Mixed by Tim Palmer (who also worked with Robert Palmer on his Shaken n Stirred album), Lisa Tingle crafts a gender-defying vocal performance that captures the beauty and mystique of the original track. Meanwhile, David Gayle conjures up Jimmy Page's vibes and gently lets his guitar weep with pain and joy. It may be called "The Rain Song", but The Caughtery's version will no doubt bring the sunshine back into anyone's heart. Now with the clouds parting, The Caughtery shower us with their Shameless Tuesdays contribution!
Here's what The Caughtery have to say about this week's playlist:
Rock and Roll is done right when all the best artists that make you feel it are equally represented.
The artists in this playlist represent that magic.
They all kick it hard and make you listen.
Check out what these XX humans are making.
They will not be denied!!
