With every note sung, Providence's Jenn Vix tackles the demons hidden in the darkness and one's self. Her latest single "PTSD" is as personal as a song can be, as she takes on the hardships of dealing with an illness that can feel as heavy as it is lonely. The end result is a tough-as-nails drive through the psyche, with a synthwave coating that tastes more like neon blood than rainbow candy. Released this past weekend, the song not only is a worthy place in anyone's playlist, but is also helping those suffering through mental illness via NAMI! "This playlist features some beloved tracks, along with a few of my own, as well as a track from a Boston based duo I am in called Feeney Vix. I love many genres of music, and my favorite genres are R&B, Classic Funk, Hip-Hop, Post Punk, and New Wave. I've listened to this music since I was a kid.I started the playlist out with my current favorite song; Alone Again, by The Weeknd. It gives me the chills every time I listen to it. My favorite band is TV on the Radio. I hope you enjoy this diverse mix of songs."
