A Shoreline Dream's can be described as beautiful chaos. The Barnum, Colorado-based shoegazers craft the sounds of adventurous fantasies, where dragons reign in dark dungeons as heroes rise to the occasion to slay them! It's also surprisingly soothing, like the perfect soundtrack to a day lying on a checkered blanket underneath an old oak tree. This mixture of moods is showcased greatly on their upcoming album Melting (in stores August 21st), as tracks like "The Tempting Flood" and "The Oceans Above" drag you into a hypnotic spiral while the melodies of "Revealter" and "Atheris Hispida" dance alongside your soul. One of the most mentally challenging time periods I can think of, 2020 is a land of confusion, drifting away into the cosmos like the music I love and make. Presented in this playlist are vibes that not only match whats whirling around in my mind, but also influences and discoveries made through the lonely days I am currently learning to embrace. When I have no idea where to turn to, I hit play on this list and the days begin to to start ticking away again. From Progressive, to Garage Rock, to an over arching theme of Shoegaze, these tracks are what make me the man I am today, melting away slowly, but just a little faster than the norm.
