Even when the nightclubs are closed and the parties have been put on hold, Soft Set still find a way to get a danceable vibe going. The Toronto-based dreampop duo -- comprised of James Gray and Nathan Athay -- have teamed up with Ride frontman Mark Gardener to bring to life their debut EP Love and Dancing (in stores September 4th), and have unleashed a sneak peek in the form of their first single "Never Die". Its tone may be melancholy, but it brings forth a comforting groove that feels like a relaxing cloudy day. The b-side "7 on Up" is like a late-night drive through a bright cityscape, continuing on with the smooth tone of the main track. To keep with the beat of their single, Soft Set have put together a special Shameless Tuesdays set worth having a relaxing martini over.

Here's what Soft Set has to say about this week's playlist:

The theme for this week’s playlist is “Studio Nights”! James and I have a studio on the west end of Toronto and over time, we’ve developed a routine where we fix ourselves a drink, put on some tunes, chat about the week previous and eventually get started on the music. You’ll notice that the list is eclectic, but it’s our actual list that we play at the studio track-for-track. We were initially thinking about a playlist that pertained to only to one, or two genres, but where’s the fun in that?! We thought we could use this opportunity to show the audience what our routine entails and the music that we put on before we create our own.

We hope you enjoy it!

James and Nate
