Shameless Tuesdays: Livre 169 | Claude9
As soon as "Entrance" hits your speakers, you'll quickly realize that Austin, Texas's Claude9's world is far, far away from our own. His debut album, Chords of Love, is two shots of electronica, one shot of Beatles love-in, and a dash of Imogen Heap for good measure. The end result is a truly trippy ride through psychedelic rainbows and lo-fi ocean grooves, from the Japanese summer styles of "Cicada Soul" to the glitchy dark caverns of "The Shadow". Chords of Love isn't just a romantic getaway for the ears; it's also a key to unlocking the mind to something truly beautiful. Now arising from the underground and sailing to the stars, Claude9 brings us a Shameless Tuesdays straight from the clouds above!
Here's what Claude9 has to say about this week's playlist:
I had a blast putting this playlist together—it’s a tour through some of my deepest musical influences, woven together with tracks from Austin artists I’ve had the pleasure of collaborating with over the years. One standout connection: David Bowie’s Warszawa directly inspired my own track Entrance, which opens my "Chords of Love" album. You’ll find an eclectic spread here—Dub grooves, shimmering Ambient textures, bold Art Rock, and both uptempo and downtempo electronic treasures.
For me, every track holds a memory—from my first encounters with electronic music in the late ’70s and ’80s to pieces I’ve created in this millennium. So settle in, let the music wash over you, and see where the journey takes your mind and soul.
