Shameless Tuesdays: Livre 150 | BARD

One can't simply categorize the New Jersey-based rockers BARD. In one instance, they're treading country roads and folksy fields. The next moment, they're sneaking in Richard Wright-like keyboards with a dab of psychedelia. But one thing's for certain: the good times are a-rollin' when BARD are in the area. Their new album Angels Got His Back takes the history of 60s and 70s rock and mashes it all into 30 minutes of pure grooviness. It's a sound that feels fresh, yet at the same time something our past generation may have heard up at Watkins Glen in 1973. And in BARD's Shameless Tuesdays contribution, they show why angels aren't the only thing that have their back!

Here's what BARD have to say about this week's playlist:

BARD draws its musical and lyrical inspiration from far and wide. There's no single genre or era that we focus on in particular. It's just got to have that feeling. You know that feeling. Here we have music from various artists that inspire us individually and collectively. Lots of great singer/songwriters here, as well as virtuoso players, some extended prog rock tunes, great jazz and country -- but most importantly, all of these musicians really know how to find the pocket, and stay right in there . You'll hear a bit of BARD in all this stuff... or vice versa. 🙂
