Shameless Tuesdays: Livre 27 | Rude Audio
If there were sweltering jungles found on the rings of Saturn, odds are the sounds you'd hear would be very close to what Rude Audio conjures up. The London-based electronica trio crafts the sort of melodies that turns the gears of the brightest minds around, bringing forth grooves that you can dance and invent to! Their latest album Street Light Interference combines the past with the future, with spacey beats and tribal chants colliding right under your feet and straight through your subwoofer! To commemorate their newest album, Rude Audio have given us a very special DJ mix for this week's Shameless Tuesdays!
Here's what Rude Audio's Mark Ratcliff has to say about this mix:
I don’t often do a mix, so when I pull one together it has to represent some of the diversity of what we love at Rude Audio. And a new release from Rude Audio is usually impetus to pull a mix together. So this mix reflects a few of our obsessions – with dub, Middle Eastern and Turkish strings and voices, the crunchier and chunkier end of house music, filthy arpeggiated synth lines and …a kind of more open minded (trying not to use the term Balearic) approach to playing, programming and producing music. The Rude Audio tunes in the mix are from our new mini LP 'Street Light Interference' – and include the Andrew Weatherall and Don Letts supported "Repeat Offender", as well as remixes from The Fearless Few and Bedford Falls Players, which are also picking up serious DJ and radio support!
