Red Hot Chili Peppers Plan New Album
Anthony Kiedis and co. have some big plans for 2010.
In a recent interview with Clash Magazine, Red Hot Chili Peppers drummer Chad Smith announced that the band is currently writing new music as we speak.
"We're gonna write for a while, it usually takes us a while," Smith said before adding that the album may be released "sometime next year."
The band's last album, 2006's "Stadium Arcadia," gave the band its first #1 spot on the Billboard 200, and went on to sell seven million copies worldwide.
Meanwhile frontman Anthony Kiedis has also been busy with developing an HBO series based on his best-selling autobiography "Scar Tissue." The show, while it is still looking for a head writer, is due to premiere sometime late 2010. Bassist Flea has also been on the road with Radiohead's Thom Yorke, who is currently working on new solo material for his follow-up to "The Eraser."
